TURLOCK ULTRALIGHT FLYERS ASSOCIATION

BY-LAWS

1. GOALS:

The purpose of this organization is to promote, without profit, interest in ultralight flying. To develop a fraternal attitude among all its members and to all persons involved in or interested in ultralight flying. To express a positive, friendly and helpful attitude to those interested in ultralights and those exposed to our sport. To stimulate interest in safe ultralight flight for the improvement and growth of the sport.

2. OFFICERS:

Officers to be elected by a majority vote of the membership on a yearly basis during the October meeting. The offices to be: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Fly-Out Commander, Newsletter Commander.

3. MEETINGS:

To be held monthly on the second Saturday of each month. Site and time of each meeting to be determined at prior month's meeting.

4. MEMBERSHIP:

Open to any and all persons interested in ultralight flying. All pilots to become members in USUA within three months. All student pilots to become members in USUA within six months. Non-flying members need not belong to USUA. All members must be willing to participate and volunteer for at least one event per year. Additionally, all members must willingly volunteer and participate in TUFA's annual Fly-In event. Members can be relieved of this commitment by the Vice President or Fly-In committee.

5. VOTING PRIVILEGES:

All pilots and student pilot members will have 1 vote each on any and all questions. Non-flying members will have 1 vote each on all questions except those concerning in-flight matters.

6. EXPULSION:

Any member may be expelled from the club by a two thirds vote of the membership. Grounds for expulsion would be failure to participate, unsafe flying, abuse of the Turlock Air Park, or practices which would be detrimental to the clubs goals.

7. ACTIVITIES:

One Fly-In per year to be chaired by the current Vice President. Two family events per year to be chaired by the current Fly-Out Commander.

8. DUES:

Single membership fee will be $25.00 per year for non-flying members.
Single membership fee will be $35.00 per year for active flying members.
Family membership fee will be $45.00 per year for non-flying members.
Family membership fee will be $55.00 per year for active flying members.

Newsletter only subscriptions will be $25.00 per year and is void of voting rights.
